There is a lot of work waiting Dimos Dikoudis at Panathinaikos, after the injuries of Deyian Tomasevits, Kostas Tsartsaris and recently Nikola Prkatsin. The European champions are ready to begin their effort for the second phase of Euroleague and they are optimistic.
“We are at a group among the Top-16 teams and it is upon us to make it easy or not. All teams are very good. Both Siena and Efes Pilsen, as well as Partizan that is difficult at their court. What we should take care of is to improve our performance and have an even better conduct, because during the phase of Top-16 all defeats count more. We begin with one match abroad with Efes Pilsen which will be of determining importance. We want to win so as to have precedence from the beginning” said Dimos Dikoudis who referred to the celebration for the 100 years of Panathinaikos history which took place at OAKA during the match against PAOK. “At the championship we continued our march with a victory against PAOK, where we at the same time celebrated the 100 years of Panathinaikos, at a very special moment for the club. We the players enjoyed it a lot, as well as the teams of coaches because the atmosphere was very good” commented the dynamic power forward of the “greens” and noted: “We keep on our try for the Greek championship, maintaining the advantage of our court which is really important to us. Simultaneously, we have already reached the final for the Greek cup, where we will face Olympiakos at a derby for the cup. It is too early thinking about this game, but we will do our best because we really want a lot to win. Either we have to face Olympiakos, either any other team of the Greek championship”.
