2005 is history, but it was also a milestone in Dimos Dikoudis carrer. Dimos goes back and finds the five moments of the year, which will keep them forever in mind. And he also makes a wish for 2006.
1. «The gold medal in Eurobasket is the greatest moment of my whole carrer and I will keep it forever in my mind.
2. The way the fans treated us after the Eurobasket and the joy they received from us made me feel great. It is very important to see all Greek people being happy and to know that you are the one who made them feel so.
3. My return to Valencia. It is the team which believed in me a lot and fought hard three years ago in order to sign me, while I was in AEK. Although last year I had decided to go to Moscow, people of Pamesa understood my decision, supported me and when they had the chance, they brought me back. It is important to come back to people you love.
4. The two titles I won with CSKA in Russia, the championship and the russian cup, were very important to me. Especially because the league was very hard, unfamiliar to me, and during the whole season we were being considered as the favorite team, which gave us a lot of pressure. We lost only one game and gave joy to our fans.
5. It is something that few still remember, but CSKA managed to win 42 games in a row, which is, in my oppinion, a world record difficult for anybody to break it. For 6 months we hadn’t lost a single game!»
A wish for 2006
«I wish everybody to be healthy, to give and take love. I also wish that there will be less misery in the world. There are many people worldwide who live hard, something which must not happen nowadays. The only thing I want for me is to be healthy and everything else will just happen. I’m not used to ask big and important things. I’d like to have a succesful season with Valencia and something great with the National Team in World Championship in Japan. We all want to make Greek people proud once again. I also wish that there will be less violence in the gyms, so as to more and more fans will be able to enjoy watching sports».
